ORDERS By placing an order with “Furniture Trends”, you are accepting the standard Terms & Conditions of business as laid out in this document.

PROPERTY All goods remain the property of “Furniture Trends” until the balance of the goods has been received in full.

LEAD TIMES are meant as a guideline only. In the unexpected event of delays, “Furniture Trends” is not liable for any orders that take longer to deliver than the supplier’s estimated delivery time.

DELIVERY – Any deliveries where the recipients are not at the delivery address during the scheduled time of delivery will be charged a false call out charge to be agreed with “Furniture Trends” in advance of any redelivery arrangements made.

DAMAGES Any shortages, damages or incorrect orders must be reported to Furniture Trends in writing within 24 hours. Damaged goods must be retained for inspection with all original packing. No credit can be issued if the goods and packaging have been disposed of.

REFUNDS “Furniture Trends” complies with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations of 2000 which states that consumers have the right to a cooling off period of 7 working days after the goods have been received. However, “Furniture Trends” will only give a refund if the customer complies with the following:

- The customer confirms their right to cancel to “Furniture Trends” in writing within 7 days of the receipt of the goods
- The customer must take ‘reasonable care’ of any goods that have been supplied until they are returned to “Furniture Trends”
- The consumer must make the goods available for collection by “Furniture Trends” within 14 days
RETURNS If the customer has changed his/her mind with regard any furniture or accessories purchased and delivered, the customer will be charged the cost in full of delivering the goods back to “Furniture Trends”.

PAYMENT All orders taking over 28 days to deliver will be charged a 30% deposit. The full balance will then be required prior to despatch. By paying 30% of the retail price charged, the customer enters into a ‘contract’ with “Furniture Trends” and by doing so, must forfeit the deposit if they subsequently cancel their order outside the 7 days allowed from date of order.

SALE OF GOODS In accordance with the Sale Of Goods Act 1979 (as amended), “Furniture Trends” will only give refunds or exchanges if the goods are not of satisfactory quality, are not fit for the purpose, or as not described on the website.

GUARANTEES All leather upholstered furniture in the “Furniture Trends” range come with a 3 year construction guarantee. All other goods are guaranteed for 1 year. “Furniture Trends” retains the right to inspect all goods prior to any claim on the aforementioned guarantees are refunded, exchanged or repaired. All customers must comply with any assembly or care instructions provided by the supplier.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS All dimensions specified by “Furniture Trends” are approximate. “Furniture Trends” retains the right to alter the specifications of the furniture in accordance with our supplier’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement without prior notice. Please also note that photographs are for illustrative purposes only, and may not exactly match the product itself.

PROPER LAW OF CONTRACT “Furniture Trends” operates within UK Law. Your statutory rights are not affected. Any dispute, question or remedy howsoever arising will be determined exclusively by the Courts of England & Wales.

LEATHER UPHOLSTERY Leather products are made from quality natural leather and accordingly they many not be uniform in colour or texture. Only the finest hides are selected but they will show natural marks and scars on the hide. Some leathers will mellow with age and exposure to sunlight.

DATA PROTECTION “Furniture Trends” operates in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (“the Act”). We process your personal data in accordance with the Act.
